Neruna Join the beta

Features

Everything an office mail program has to do. And a few things more.

The overview – with an honest status. What says “available” here is in the current beta.

01

Email

Folders, favourites, an editor without the pain, signatures, templates, S/MIME.

All about email

Email as you know it

Folders with unread counts, a list grouped by today/yesterday/this week, a reading pane, multi-select and drag into folders – even into another account. Double-click opens a message in its own window.

Write with style

Font (previewed in the font itself!), size, colours, lists, links, images. In the reading pane or in its own window – and drafts save themselves.

S/MIME built in

Signs automatically when you have a certificate – and encrypts automatically as soon as all recipients have one. No plug-ins, no tinkering.

Search & find

Quick search above the list – plus an advanced search by sender, subject and text, in one folder or the whole account. Right on the server, old mail included.

Text templates with shortcuts

Call note, standard reply, appointment confirmation: insert at the cursor with one click – or type “tel::”. Fill-in tables too, Tab moves from field to field.

Aliases & account names

Several sender addresses per mailbox, e.g. info@: replies automatically come from the address the mail was sent to. Accounts can be edited and named, e.g. “Office”.

02

Calendar

Time grid, invitations straight from the email, reminders with snooze.

All about the calendar

A calendar that thinks along

Time grid in 15/30/60 minutes, 7 days or Mon–Fri, month overview, your own colours. And: reload subscribed and shared calendars at any time.

Invitations & reminders

Invite people to events, accept or decline invitations right in the email, answers land in the event. Reminders with snooze – from 5 minutes to 1 day.

Subscriptions & sharing

Calendars via CalDAV, internet calendars as ICS or webcal subscriptions and the calendars from Microsoft 365. Under “Manage calendars”, newly shared calendars can be loaded at any time.

Birthdays & public holidays

A calendar with the birthdays from all address books – with age and an optional reminder. And public holidays for country and region, calculated by Neruna itself, no server needed, offline too.

03

Contacts

Colour-coded address books and lists that pick the right address per person.

All about contacts

Contacts & mailing lists

Colour-coded address books, contact photos and groups – where you choose for each person which address the list uses.

At hand while writing

A few letters are enough: Neruna suggests contacts and groups. Or click “To” or “Cc” to pick several at once.

Address books

All address books of your accounts in one place, each with its own colour. Duplicates can simply be deselected – and contact photos show faces instead of initials.

Birthdays

Add a birthday to a contact – the year is optional. The contact view shows the age, and the birthday calendar reminds you in time.

04

Team & cloud

Chat, central signatures, certificates and accounts – with Neruna Cloud.

All about team & cloud

Team chat With Neruna Cloud

With Neruna Cloud: rooms per group, private messages, online status and a counter for what's new. Messages are kept only as long as your organisation decides.

Central signatures & templates With Neruna Cloud

Consistent signatures with each person's current profile data, plus text templates with shortcuts – maintained in the portal, assigned per group, on every device right away.

Certificates from your company With Neruna Cloud

With Neruna Cloud, your admins hand out S/MIME certificates to the devices – one for info@ to several people, too. Encrypted in the browser, approved per device: the server can never read the keys.

Accounts & backup from the cloud With Neruna Cloud

With Neruna Cloud, your admins set up mail accounts on the devices, and you back up your personal settings encrypted in the vault – new computer, restore, done. The server can read none of it.

05

Everywhere

What applies across the whole app.

Connects to your provider

Many email providers via the standard protocols IMAP/SMTP, CalDAV and CardDAV – for example SOGo, Nextcloud or most hosting providers. Plus Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com with the Microsoft sign-in. During setup, Neruna finds the server settings itself.

Works offline

Mail, events and contacts are kept locally in a database. Reading and searching work even on a train without signal.

Privacy first

Remote images in emails are blocked until you allow them. Passwords live in your system's keychain. No tracking, no ads, no data in someone else's cloud.

Right away

New mail shows up within seconds, not at the next check – with a discreet notification that opens the message with one click.

Your look

Light, dark or like your system, colour scheme blue, red or green. Sort your accounts; folders stay expanded or collapsed the way you left them.

Four languages

German, English, French and Italian – switch under Settings → Appearance → Language.

Favourites & folder subscriptions

All inboxes on top in Favourites. Right-click the account to choose which folders are subscribed – stored on the server, so other mail programs see the same.

Default mail program

Email links (mailto:) and .eml files open in Neruna – on Windows, Linux and macOS.
